Edith's obituary
Edith Louise Forgrave Obituary
With profound sadness, we regret to announce the passing of Edith Louise Forgrave. A loving mother to David (Debbie) and Frank (Lori). Devoted sister to Margaret, Jeannie and Frank. A vibrant grandmother to Nicole, Alexandra (Michael) , Frankie, Jasper, Jacob and Holly. A great- grandmother to Liam and Lyla. A life partner and companion to Paul Crossen. On April 14, 2022, Edith passed peacefully while at home, alongside her family, who will continue to cherish the moments they shared and love her dearly. Born and raised in Toronto, Edith continued to reside in The Beaches. After battling an aggressive fight against cancer, Edith’s life was cut short at 73. As a powerful force, she has led a life that has set concrete examples for those around her. Independence, loyalty and resilience was her forte and we are forever thankful to have inherited these special qualities. Her reliable ear and sense of humor will be deeply missed and impossible to forget. Edith’s generosity, fur coats and advice will be remembered and adored by those lucky enough to have experienced her. The opinions she had were loudly expressed and always heard, even when not initially welcomed. Black cherry ice cream, yellow roses and Tina Turner were her simple delicacies. All things we can reach for when we want to feel close to her. More than a woman, Edith was a friend. She had courage and dignity that followed her through, up until the end. Long live this smart, beautiful woman who will always be with us in spirit.
