This is the first Christmas we’ve spent without you.

Throughout my childhood my grandma always went above and beyond for Christmas. She’d start shopping in July and sacrifice her entire apartment to house these gifts. Even with 6 grandchildren she would individually wrap each present in wrapping paper, Taking hours of her life because the act of tearing gifts was entertaining. She’d always tell me “gifts in bags were boring”.

The presents would range from small dollar store like items, toys and nick nacks,  matching Pajama  sets, slippers, foot baths, an alarm sensor we backpack?? and of course.. wallets with cash. She always wanted to make sure we had some cash, in classic grandma fashion. Always reminding us to keep it safe and ensuring it was put away.

Now for herself, she was one of kind with her cash storage. She had her own personal savings fund, frozen. Quite literally in ice cream bar boxes in her freezer.  Waiting for whenever one of us needed some sugar.

My grandma was one of the most generous people I’ve ever met.  I️ could go on for days with stories where she’s helped every single person in our family. Not only did she provide financial help but emotional support and a place to stay “at any time of the night”.  There’s no doubt in my mind  I️ could send an SOS whenever wherever.

With the first Christmas without you passing I’ve finally taking the time to sit with my thoughts and condolences.  I️ can speak for my siblings and  I️ that we are so blessed to have had a grandma like you. We miss and grieve for you deeply.  In my future  I️ can only hope we all provide a fraction of the love and support you gave to this family.

You are forever in our hearts and minds.  I️ love you.

Grandma took nicole & I up north to her friend nancy’s trailer and pranked us. We had a really fun weekend.

Grandma was at every grandparents day, sneaking the refreshments for the grandparents into her purse for us grandkids. We love you grandma!
