Dustin's obituary

In Loving Memory of Dustin Hamm.

It is with profound sadness that I write about my beloved brother, Dustin, who left us on August 25, 2023. He was 42 years old.

Dustin was a beacon of light filled with so much charisma, talent and passion. His humor was legendary, and his wit could brighten anyone's day. He made the best impersonations, loved to quote movies and had an extraordinary talent for making people laugh.

Born on December 21, 1980, Dustin was exceptionally sharp, loved politics and debate and was always eager to engage in stimulating conversations. He attended the University of Washington, receiving his degree in Political Science. He went on to build his career in insurance, working with several large companies like Geico, Mutual of Omaha and Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies.

In addition to his humor and intelligence, Dustin was a compassionate and caring soul. He had a deep love for all animals, especially his beloved Taylor (Tay Tay), his dog. He loved to cook and bake, and he loved all holidays- embracing the traditions and festivities with fervor. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and boating.

Dustin is survived by his loving family and a vast network of friends who will forever cherish the memories of his laughter and wit. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible person he was and the mark he left on all of us.

A celebration of Dustin's life will be held on Sunday, September 24th at the University Heights Center: 5031 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105, from 1:30 to 3pm.  The Auditorium is located on the second floor, on the North side of the building. Join us for light bites, drinks and shared memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks to consider donating to Recovery Cafe.

Though Dustin has left this world, his spirit lives on in the countless stories and memories we shared with him. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
