A friend wrote a poem about Dustin....

In eighty-six, a boy was born,

Dustin, with a heart so warm,

From Moriarty’s halls, he took his flight,

With dreams to soar like stars at night.

He walked the paths of learning wide,

With friends beside him, smiles so wide,

Though the books he read were quite dense,

His mind was sharp, his thoughts immense.

In circuits and wires, he found his way,

Engineering marvels, night and day,

Antique treasures filled his space,

Echoes of the past adorned his place.

On two wheels he would fly through air,

With four-wheel drive, he showed such flair,

Lining his garage projects were not rare,

Mending anything his hands could bear.

His son would learn the craft so well,

From father’s hands, new stories to tell,

And in his daughter, art would bloom,

Encouraging whispers filled the room.

In East Mountain trails, he'd run so free,

Each footstep a dance, wild as could be,

Podcasts and tunes brought wisdom anew,

With every song, the world he’d view.

His heart beat loud for family dear,

Two children bright, the world was clear,

He nurtured their souls with love profound,

In every moment, joy was found.

To parks they'd go, and rockets would soar,

Bike rides and laughter, adventures galore,

From Homeschool joys with stories shared,

To fairs and fiestas, memories declared.

With open talks and hugs so tight,

He held their hearts in soft moonlight,

Dustin's love a beacon, steadfast and true,

A guiding star in all that they’d do.

So here's to the man with a heart of gold,

In each life he touched, his story told,

A force of nature, a father so bold,

In love everlasting, his legacy holds.
