Dr. Early and I met almost 20 year ago when I got my first dog, Hamlet. He always took such good care of us. I loved his quirky personality and straight forward medicine practices. Unfortunately, on Christmas Eve of 2011, Hamlet started seizing and was unable to walk. I called the office not expecting anyone to answer. But, Dr. Early was there and ready to help. We ended up having to put Hamlet to sleep that day and it was absolutely heartbreaking. But, Dr. Early and Shelly held my hand through it all. We have had several pets since and Dr. Early continued to provide the best care for our fur babies. I could never repay him for his kindness and patience. He was an incredible person and is dearly missed!
Dr Early is missed by our family.  He was a wonderful vet and always took very good care of our Golden Retriever.
I am so sorry. He was a wonderful person. He took care of all my pets for years.

I still can't believe my cousin is gone.  I've thought back over the times we shared growing up and had so much fun. I love Buddy and even though in the later years we didn't spend time together except our seeing him at the Clinic..he was always in my heart! I love you Buddy and miss you♥️
Anne & David, I know Buddy will be missed sorely by all his family and friends. He was always a steady breeze and loyal friend.
I am so sorry to hear about him passing he was the best vet in the blue ridge area. I so miss him
Buddy was one of a kind. He was compassionate, loving, kind, and funny. Ever since Buddy came into my life, it was easy to see how much he cared about his family. He had some much pride and love for his partner (Bob), his siblings, his nieces and nephews, and his great-nieces and great-nephews (including my children). He was incredibly generous and even helped to fund a trip for Buddy, Bob, Kelly, and me to go to Ireland. This was the first (and only) time I've been to Europe, and it is one of my fondest memories. He would always surprise us by picking up the bill at a nice restaurant, taking us to shows/ballets, and showing up with a new Fiestaware set. He never asked for anything in return, just friendship and family. He has made such a lasting impact on our family and has played an amazing role in Kelly's life. I look back fondly on dinners at Dolce, breakfasts at Amelie's, long talks about politics at the kitchen table, and seeing how naturally my kids warmed up to him. Buddy is sorely missed and will forever be loved. Thank you for everything you have done for our family, Buddy. You're an absolute legend in my book. Love ya, Buddy!

Anne, I didn't know Buddy, but I'm sure all my animals, well maybe not Bessie, would have flourished under his care.  Sorry the animal/human world has lost him.  Love, Sharon
I was only in Buddy’s company a handful of times, but knew from the beginning what a truly kind and gentle soul he was. He made my life richer just from being in his presence those few times.  RIP dear friend…..you will never be forgotten! Love, Debbie L.
Although I did not know Buddy well, I knew of his character, his actions, and his love for animals and family members. I knew his chosen field as a veterinarian showcased his caring nature and love for all of God’s creations. I also know that his love for his brother and his brother’s family was over the top. He loved his nephews and nieces and showered them with the abundance he created. He preferred to play it forward! I am thankful David and Anne were there with Buddy as he approached the end of his life and thankful his siblings had the opportunity to shore each other up during this difficult time. Rest in peace Buddy….it was a life well lived for God’s creatures and your family
Thank you for all of the loving care you provided to our family members. You have an amazing story, and I always looked forward to speaking with you. I am better for having known you. We will remember you and miss you, Dr. Early.
Thank you for being in my family’s life. We love you so very much. And though we will miss you we are blessed by having you in our lives. We will continue to love you through Keldar…
