He liked to call me "Scotty too Hottie". The GRIN when he had a buzz. I loved him. He was rational.
I am so very sorry to hear about Doug's passing. My heart breaks for his entire family. I grew up with the Stuart family in Rochester, NH and babysat Doug when he was very young. Our families spent much time together until their move to Washington. This family has always been special to me and I have so many wonderful memories of our time together. Sending hugs & prayers to all ❤️

When Doug had the deli, it was directly across the street from our lawnmower shop. Most mornings I could be found grabbing a Doug-made mocha and chatting him up before going back to work. That big earthquake we had many years ago? I was there (oh geez, I think Doug still owned it then???) and was looking around to see who was shaking their leg really hard. I screamed "earthquake!" and ran outside.

I learned how to make better omelettes by watching Doug, and he made the best ranch/parmesan red potato salad ever! So many memories, but they've all faded into water color from that time in my life. But his voice hollering 'Hey Drea! What can I get for you today?' will always be with me. He told me in September he was coming to Kitsap to visit and I was hoping he'd stop in to say hi at my work. I'm so sorry for your loss, family. Doug definitely left his mark on this earth! With lots of full bellies too!

I was so sorry to hear about Douglas's passing. We grew up on the same street. I have many good childhood memories of Doug. RIP friend

I’m so sorry. I just talked to him on Monday. I’ve known Doug since we were kids.
