His surviving family includes his wife, Judi Dursi, a sister, Maryann Preach and her husband, Tim Preach, sons, Michael and Matthew Maclear, their spouses, Licia and Amy Maclear, and five grandchildren, Mason, Ella, Charlotte, Griffin and Kenley Maclear. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Jack and Charlotte Maclear.
