Please accept my condolences , Doug's passing was a real shock.  I work with him at Butler and always enjoyed our interactions.

   He was truly a gem.

Dougie was unique. He was real. He was kind. He will be missed.

Doug was a master at his craft and always had a story to make you laugh. He taught me a lot about Butler and how to be a better caddy. If you were not in withDoug  your Out!

Thanks for 30 great years Doug.  The club wont be the same with you.

Rest in Peace my friend...

Deepest sympathy to all the Dussmans, especially our dear cousin Judy and her children, on the unthinkable sudden loss of her son and their brother, Doug.  Also, condolences and prayers for the women, children and grandchildren who were Doug's beloved family and will cherish his memory as only they can. Much love,  cousins Marianne and Bruce

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Doug.  While you may not know me, Doug has a special place in my heart.  I  am a dear friend of Michael Rooney and have had the pleasure of playing golf  at Butler as his guest for the 30 years including the annual member guest.  Doug always caddied for us (along with Jimmy before his passing).  Doug was always quick with joke or good story.  We talked about life, money, politics, gossip and whatever was on our mind.  As I send this still in utter disbelief at his passing, I know he and Jimmy are probably raising hell in heaven.   I hope you find strength in this trying time.  May Doug rest in eternal peace.  God Bless.

I will always remember Doug’s great smile. He was so friendly and warm to me whenever I came to Dussman family gatherings. The warmth of his smile and greeting always made me feel like I belonged there. He always greeted my dad with an enthusiastic “Hey Doc!” and a big handshake. It is these little moments that stick out in my memories and reinforce what a kind soul Doug was. I am so sorry that he had to be taken so before his time. Life can be so cruel and unfair. But I will never forget Doug’s smile and his kindness to me.

Absolutely terrible. Doug was always an idol to all of the Baxter boys. From golfing to wrestling, we all wanted to become just like him. He will be missed.

Dougie and I beat the pros in match play on the front 9. It wouldn’t have happened without Doug’s positivity. I’ll miss ya brother.
