Donald Kenneth Spivey, III, or Ken, as he preferred to be known, was born on December 26, 1981, and passed away on January 14, 2020 after a long illness. He just turned 38.

Ken was born in Florida and lived there all his life. He attended Mary Help of Christians school for middle school, and later Armwood High.

In high school, Ken began writing, performing, and recording music. The Ken Spivey Band formed after he graduated from from University of South Florida. Beginning as a Florida touring Renaissance Faire band, they entered the convention world in 2011, when the band introduced a new material based upon the television program, Doctor Who.

Ken created and ran Time Lord Fest, a convention also based on Doctor Who. Ken held many Time Lord Fests and related events, including Time Lord Ball and Whovian Singles Night. His events brought people together from all over to share laughter and silliness, and to make new friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his grandparents and his Aunt Donna. He is survived by his father and mother, Donald and Patti, his brother Stuart, and his wife, Audrey.
