I am deeply grateful for all the love and support I have received. With the help of everyone’s generosity, I found a beautiful final resting place for Ken’s ashes in a niche at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa. Finding the right place was very important to me. When I first saw the glass niches at Sunset, I was captivated by the stories they told and the love displayed. I felt this was the ideal place for Ken and to memorialize his story. I chose this cemetery for its peaceful beauty, and I liked the idea that it is central to places of meaning in Ken’s life: his home in Seffner, the lawnmower shop, USF, and Sacred Grounds. I hope you can visit him.

The niche is located inside the mausoleum. It is air conditioned and there are places to sit. You can park in front of the mausoleum.

Donald Kenneth Spivey, III, or Ken, as he preferred to be known, was born on December 26, 1981, and passed away on January 14, 2020 after a long illness. He just turned 38.

Ken was born in Florida and lived there all his life. He attended Mary Help of Christians school for middle school, and later Armwood High.
