I met Diane in 1985. After the intros, the first thing she asked me was "Do you play Scrabble?". I said that I did, and we started playing just about every week after that, usually two or three games each time. It was very competitive. We also got together for other things, e.g. an air show at El Toro (her favorite aircraft was the Harrier Jet), and Oktoberfest at Old World Village in HB. Such a classy lady and a good person. RIP
Diane and I became best friends in elementary school. We enjoyed playing together at recess and having occasional sleepovers at our respective homes. I lost touch with Dianne, as she went to Lakewood High School and I went to Millikan but I have never forgotten what a beautiful and talented person she was.
Rodecker Family, my sincere condolences. Losing someone you love is never easy, and it’s even harder when their life feels cut short.
The Bible gives us real comfort at John 11:11, Jesus compares death to a peaceful sleep, and Jehovah promises to wake our loved ones again. Acts 24:15 reminds us of that beautiful hope of the resurrection. May this hope give you comfort and strength as you look forward to seeing  Diane again.
