Derrick Charles “D.C.” Vito passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Brooklyn, New York at the age of 47. Derrick was born on April 29, 1975 in Wheatridge, Colorado to Rick Vito and Marianne Perez. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and earned a B.S. in International Affairs in 1997. In 2008, he married Emily Long in Vermont.

Derrick was born @ 0955am at Lutheran Hospital in Wheatridge, Colorado. Born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 2 1/2 times. Doctor gave me specific instructions in the delivery room to ensure he would survive. He weighed 7lbs 12 1/2ozs.
