Background
Derrick cared deeply about animals. He was particularly fond of Myairo, a three-legged border collie he adopted as a puppy from Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue. She was a source of great comfort and companionship to him during trying times. Emily's cat Millington was adopted from the ASPCA, and played a big role in bringing Emily and DC closer together. DC would be proud to be fundraising even in death, and that he could perhaps help other animals and humans in need of love and friendship.
