I'm so sorry for the loss of Derek. I'll always think of the time we had the bet of who would win in a foot race around the block...Ray, Mike, or Derek. I put my money on Derek and he and I started laughing at the two old timers thinking they could beat him. The three of the. took off running and a few minutes later Derek came around the corner, no Mike, no Ray. So Derek had to run around the block again and help Mike off the asphalt because he collapsed from exhaustion. Derek and I always laughed everytime we reminisced over that. So many memories of him growing up. He will be always thought of with fondness and love. Rest in peace Derek, we'll laugh again together some day my friend.
