D was one of the first few friends to reach out to offer condolences to me and my family when my brother passed in 2014. Since middle school, when we met I've always known what a good person Derek was. He was always a family first mentality, would always have his buddies back no matter what. It's crazy how one night changed the rest of our lives. Remember when there was a bug in the bathroom. All i hear was the loudest girly scream ever... I went to go check and you were standing on the toilet yelling at me to get it. Lol that was another good memory aside from well you know the story... we will just continue to blame Ashley haha.

Things have always been so crazy but somehow we bounce back and just talk like nothing ever happened. We would just talk about anything and everything good or bad. I just didn't know our last would be our last. We will never know why God does what he does, and why he takes the strongest, sweetest, bravest people in our lives. I will forever miss our conversation. I will miss your jokes. I will miss you trying to brighten my day when I was upset or pissed off. I will miss our talks about about our daughter and hearing you talk about how much you love her and how you want to rip hear nose and lip ring out. Or how u are gunna stomp any boy that tries to come around. So many things I will miss for the rest of my life. Bur thank you for our beyond beautiful daughter. Thank you for all the memories good and bad. Keep pushin' 40 😊🤣Love and miss you always BD.
