Dechaun's obituary
Dechaun Brown was a beloved prince, grandson, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He departed this world on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, surrounded by family, at age 27. His loss was completely unexpected, and the family is deeply saddened.
He was born on January 23rd, 1994, in Boston, MA, to Louchana Brown. After graduating from East Boston High School, he chased his dreams to become a Security Expert Strategist. He had a heart-burning desire for music and Green and Clean energy. Dechaun’s steadfast love was his passion for God and nature.
Dechaun loved his family deeply with unconditional and unending love. He worked relentlessly to provide for them. He had a unique way of expressing his genuine and sincere admiration for those he loved and cared for greatly. Anyone who knew Dechaun understood that he was kind, empathic, warm, and brilliant. He had an immense passion for the things of God and was always a source of positivity around the world. He desired to build schools across the globe for impoverished children. He was an avid outdoors enthusiast who spent much of his time in nature digging wells, planting trees, reading, meditating, praying, and stargazing. He spent much of his free time observing his favorite nature spots. Dechaun’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
Dechaun leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Louchana Brown of East Boston, MA; grandmother, Patricia Brown of Boston, MA; two sisters, De’china Brown and Chuckearah Johnson of East Boston, Ma; Bonus siblings, Naoise McDonnell and Christina McDonnell of Boston, MA; aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and a host of cousins, family, and friends. He was predeceased in death by his Great grandmother, Isabelle Brown.
Funeral Arrangements are under the care of Riley-Antoine Funeral Home in Dorchester, MA.
Viewing/Visitation: Friday, November 12th from 10:00 am -11:00 am
Celebration of Life Service: Friday, November 12th from 11:00, at The historic St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 14 Cushing Avenue, Dorchester, MA.
The Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park, MA.
