Hello all, I just discovered that Debbie has died-- I guess she was known as Deborah in the years after I knew her. I was browsing the internet looking to see what has become of people who were important to me and with whom I had lost contact---- and I was very shocked to see this obituary-- she was an extraordinary person-- a font of creativity and energy---and unforgettable. I have always missed her and hoped to reconnect. Blessed Be. Ynestra King
I miss Deborah almost everyday. We would text short note,, a photo here or there, plan for a trip, or share ideas, articles and politics every few days. She was touch point and a dear, dear friend. I miss her laugh and joy, her serious side and her steely eyed commitments. She remains in my heart and always will.
Deborah, first, loved her kids. Then, it seems to me, she loved being busy, being creative, her art, her garden, the ocean, and civic engagement, especially in the last decade. Her commitment to the election of Democratic candidates from her district and state was noteworthy. As an older cousin, also involved some in politics, I was proud of what she was doing, and enjoyed reading her posts about that work.
