Happy 74th 🎂 Auntie I wish You was still here with All Of Us, I Miss talking with you on the.
Dear Yvonne and D’Angelo, we were truly devastated to hear about your mother’s passing. The last time we saw Deborah was at her 70th birthday celebration. We had a wonderful time. It was a pleasure to see the love that everyone had for her. We had the opportunity to share our memories of her and enjoyed hearing the stories shared about her by her family and friends. It was evident that Deborah had always been who she was; loving, kind, hospitable and down to earth. We will miss her smile, laughter, the joy she shared about her family and our friendship.
Next door "cubie" and a Raiders fan. We'll miss you. May the Lord cradle you in His arms.

Yvonne- I’m still in shock and thankful that I just saw your mom in January. She was so proud of you… she would say… “ you know my daughter is an executive!! “ LOL.

When I went to Paisley Park I was likeOMG  I have GOT  to tell Yvonne. Her mom is going to LOVE THIS PLACE!

As you know- you and your brother are her living and breathing legacy and though this is a tough heavy loss, it gives me comfort to  know she will live on through you.  Sending so much love and hugs.. I’m here for you. Whatever, whenever, however. Love- Nicole G

Deborah hosted Christmas Eve Yvonne and DeAngelo's friends for years before she left (Yvonne).

Her Christmas Eve gatherings became a tradition filled with love, laughter, food, games, adult drinks and many memories.

Tradition creates memories and Deborah has done a great job for her children, her grand children, great-grandchildren and extended family.

Thank you Deborah and tell Prince Hello!!!

I met Deborah through my patient/friend, Yvonne. We shared a sweet initial encounter. I had the pleasure of taking care of Deborah’s eyes for over 15 years! We weren’t just doctor/patient, we were family. Deborah loved Prince. When I saw her for her eye exam, she asked if she can write on the graffiti wall and she wrote that! It was during Covid time and she had her purple prince mask on that day lol.i will miss her dearly. She was one special, fierce lady! ❤️
I met Deborah at a parents meeting when our children were in middle school. She. was actually in take charge mode  organizing and running things. As the years progressed we became close friends and I was so honored that she would say, “If Yvonne cannot make a trip I want Kat as my roommate”. It was a joy to be her roommate in Dubai and Egypt. We later dropped our given names and  began to affectionately refer to each other as “roommate”. She was also with me in Paris and Ghana. Roommate will be terribly missed but in good hands. No doubt Mario met her at the gates and is showing her around.

Deborah was a 1970 graduate of Mitchell Road High School in Memphis, TN.

She supported and loved her classmates and the Mitchell High School Alumni Assoc., Inc.  Deborah was my classmate and a very dear friend.  We will truly miss her presence, but her wonderful and loving spirit will be treasured in our hearts forever.

Marco and I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Deborah. She was funny, charming and had such a warm spirit.  Our deepest condolences to our dear friend Yvonne and family.

Love Tifara and Marco.

Deborah "Mom" Smith has been in my life since 1982 and from that first meeting, she treated me like family. She treated all of her adopted children and grandchildren like that. She made each of us feel special. For me, it was a call just to say hello, a reminder that my anniversary was coming up, the fact that she made sure she was the first person each year to say happy birthday (she relished in it), or something as simple as making me banana pudding with extra cookies each Christmas eve.

I will always cherish the times we spent together. Like when I lived with her after my mother's passing. We would often stay up late just talking about her "crazy" times, telling me stories of my mother, or lovingly, she would also tell me I needed to make better choices in women.

After she moved to Houston, she would on occasion come back to California and stay with me at "Chateau Xryztion." Her words. We both enjoyed those stays because I took the opportunity to dote on her. I know that made her feel special and happy.

I will miss our conversations, her laughter, her snarky comments, and her quiet humor. I am blessed to have been able to spend time with her in Houston last year. If I only knew...

Mom, you were an amazing woman with a heart full of love. You will be missed but remembered by so many who have been touched by your presence.

I love you always!
