We are so fortunate to have been in Dave's orbit! He was a great friend...always up for an adventure and encouraging & helping so many along the way. We think about him and the whole family often. Sending so much love their way. ❤️ 😇🙏

I had the privilege of first working with DZ and then we became friends. We had the best times and I was lovingly the recipient of some of his antics. I can say he was the modern day version of Eddie Haskel. One in particular was, and I did not figure it out until years later, that DZ had slipped a snack bag of M&M’s in my labcoat pocket while in the hospital gift shop. Needless to say I walked out without paying for it.  At the time I thought it was Walt, another co-worker. So as a running joke I would buy M&M’s each year for Walt’s birthday.  Fast forward many years and many bags of M&M’s I realized it couldn’t have been Walt to do something like that and the light bulb went off!!!  It was Dave. Now each time I see M&M’s it will be a soft spot in my heart for the silly antics of Dave.  You will be missed by me and so many whose lives you touched my friend.

It was so much fun racing with Dave!
I met Dave in elementary school. He was truly one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, and lucky enough to call him my friend. Also, he had the best smile. I still find it hard to believe he is no longer with us 😔.  May his family find comfort in all the wonderful memories they created.
I have no story nor am I friends with Dave. I have just known Dave all these years and have so much respect and admiration for the person he is. I know he will be greatly missed by so many and in a strange way I feel a loss for someone I will never get the chance to know better. I believe it was August I had reached out to Dave about his Antarctic trip which had always been a bucket list thing for me. He had said he would be happy to get together and  talk. Very Sad. Somewhere in there I think there is a life lesson.
I’ve known Dave since Kindergarten, I left Wyandotte after High School for the Army and kinda lost touch with everyone until Reunions happened. Dave has been a great friend and Donated to my charity, Bikers Who Care which helps take care of mentally and physically disabled children.  We have been a lot closer the last 15 years. I will miss seeing his smiling face.
