Dear Denise and family, We are saddened by your sudden loss of Dave. We remember your wedding! It obviously was the right match as the two of you went on to become beloved to all who knew you. (ALL of Williamston!) Thinking of you from afar at this difficult time.

Jerry and Alice Deck

A light has gone from the lives of Dave’s family and friends and the Williamston community.  Steve and I will miss his friendly smile  and  his stories about growing up in Port Huron  and his willingness to help in any way he could.

His love for his family was always so obvious and his pride in his children and grandchildren unmistakable.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rest In Peace , Dave, we’ll see you again…..

Saint Peter hollered up to God the other day

and said, "We've got a HUGE problem here at

the pearly gates!" All these people lately that

have been coming up here lately from earth

have put some wear and tear on the hinges, and

man, it's not so sparkly anymore either! Even

the golden path in the entrance is looking a little

worn down!" God responded to St. Peter that

obviously, he had someone on the way that was

about to make things perfect again. And that he

was the only man that could do the job. God

said he had a way of knowing how to add that

sparkle back to things when everything was

dull. That he could fix anything, so not to worry.

He could solve any problem, big or small, and

he would make it look easy. He might even

teach you how to do it. And, he could certainly

make that path golden again!

"Well, I hope you

have his wings ready!" Said St. Peter. To that,

God replied, "He always had them."

  • I was so sorry to hear about David's passing. He was such a [kind ] and [friendly ] person.

Dave was simply the best neighbor and friend anyone could ever want.  He brought light to everyone’s life he touched. Condolences to his family.  He shared so many great stories of his family and friends in Port Huron growing up.  May he Rest In Peace.  He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.  Love you man ❤️
1968 working at the Gratiot Inn. Dave and I were bellhops. The Inn was in the shore of Lake Huron. The staff was made up of college kids from New York and Ohio. A few of us were from PH. We both had motorcycles so we were “cool”. It became a summer long party.
