Incredible coach and inspiring mentor....I will miss our conversations David...RIP
We are sorry to hear of David's passing. The team at ROI Communication enjoyed working with David and found his counsel very valuable. He will be missed! With sincere sympathy, Team ROI
It was always hard keeping up with David while we all were growing up. He was always on the go on adventures. I looked up to him because he wouldn't let things get in his way to achieve his goals. That's a way I'll apply his influence on me to my own life. RIP David

I knew Dave as a high school classmate. The thing I remember most, beyond his brilliance, was his positive attitude and great laugh. The only way I can describe it is that he would laugh with his whole face. Rest in peace Dave, you were a positive force for good here on earth.
Pam and I have many fond memories of David as well as holidays spent with Pierre and Justin at Richard and Karen's house in Connecticut during their college years. Deepest sympathy to the entire Gerard family.
Our heartfelt condolences to Justin, Pierre, and Miho. Your presence when he passed surely brought him immeasurable comfort. May he Rest in Peace.
My sincere sympathies to the Gerard family. David was a friend who I had the pleasure of serving with on the MHUSD. We supported each other on many school initiatives. David’s health struggles were challenging and he never gave up and kept fighting. I will miss him. Rest In Peace.
In response to "What always reminds you of David?"
I first met David Gerard while he was facilitator of Leadership Morgan Hill. He was our Leadership Morgan Hill Class of 2012's facilitator, too. During that year and throughout the years that followed, I got to know him as a very intelligent, well-educated, caring person and mentor to me. I will miss his advise and support. Thank you, David, for all you did for our community. You will be missed. Our thoughts are with Miho, his sons and family.
My heart hurts. David you were such a great man, father and husband. I am so glad I met you and got to know you through our fight to keep kids in MH safe . I will never forget our time together friend.
Please accept my family's deepest condolences. It was just a few months ago that David and I emailed about the upcoming election and our hopes for a new administration. I enjoyed my many conversations with David over the years. I enjoyed discussing his Quaker ways compared to my Unitarian Universalist ways. I will light a candle for you David.
We send our deepest condolences to you and your family members.I remember David as an intelligent, warm, and friendly member of our high school class. Even though we knew he had been very sick, it was very shocking to here of his passing. Sending love and prayers, Monica Nezir Moquin and Family
So sorry to hear this sad news. Heartfelt condolences to the whole family.
Such great memories of our high school years. We reconnected on Facebook and felt we were kindred spirits. We both are loyal Bernie supporters and we discussed education issues, since he was on the Board of Ed in California, and I am on the Board of Ed back here in our home town of Wolcott, Connecticut.
Dave, rest in peace, and know your fellow WHS '68 classmates are remembering you fondly.
Dave, I really enjoyed catching up with those phone calls before our 50th Reunion. So happy to have reconnected. Much love to All.
Rest In Peace brother David.
Leon
