Darwin Foster, a cherished father and papa, passed away on May 13, 2025. Born on January 15,1953, to Gladys and Frank Foster. 

Darwin was a Navy veteran serving from1971-1975. From there he owned Shep’s Auto for numerous years. After retiring the shop Darwin worked for Tysons. Throughout Darwins life he owned/ operated many race cars retiring this hobby in 2015. In his most recent years, Darwin’s cherished hobby was fixing the lawn mowers for Ragz to Riches Lawn care and working on getting his 69 Plymouth Valiant up and running again. 

Darwin was the loving father to Samantha (Doug) Cannegieter and Hayley (Jason) Martin- Ragsdale. Darwin was Papa to: Bo and Jaecilynne Ragsdale. Carter, Addasyn, Hexli, and KyreighKaye Martin. Brantley and Westen Cannegieter. Brother to Howard Foster, Myron (Lori) Foster, Steven(Dani) Foster, Ellie McGowan. Uncle and Cousin to many. 

Darwin was proceeded in death by his daughter Kelly Ann Foster, His parents Gladys and Frank Foster, Sisters Shirley Blackford, and Sharon Andorf, his grandbabies Baby Ragsdale and Baby Martin 

Family will have a visitation May 20th at the Poor Farm Foundation, Waverly IA from 4-8pm.
