Darlene Moore, age 79, was born on April 10, 1945, in Statesville, North Carolina. She passed away on June 18, 2024, surrounded by her family and beloved friends.

Darlene loved dancing and twirling with her many friends as a Majorette at Groveton High School, graduating in 1963. After high school, she found great pride in her work at C&P Telephone, where she met her soulmate Mike and formed a lifelong friendship with Pat.

Her adventurous spirit was evident in her passion for racing fast cars and her love for watching movies with her sister Donna. Darlene also cherished the simple pleasures of life, like basking in the sun with her pool floatie and caring for her many furry friends throughout the neighborhood.

Darlene lived her life to the fullest, and her profound love for the ocean often took her on family trips to Ocean City. She thrived on the bustling energy of the boardwalk, delighting in treats like fudge, Thrasher’s French Fries, and ice cream.

Throughout her life, Darlene never stopped thinking of others, and her kindness was returned in abundance. Everyone who knew her, knew how proud she was of her loved ones. Her kindness and gentle spirit knew no bounds, especially towards the fur babies and other creatures she lovingly cared for. 

While words cannot fully capture how much she will be missed, we are all deeply grateful for the wonderful memories we hold dear in our hearts.

Darlene is survived by her husband Mike, younger sister Donna, sons Alan and Robert, and granddaughters Crystal, Angela, and Alana. Her love and light touched all who met her, and we will never stop missing her.
