We made it to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. That's the Colorado River behind us. Typically it moves so fast that you can't touch the river (for fear of it pulling you in), but on this day and in this spot, the river slowed to a pace where we were able to wade in and cool off. It was a special experience.

Danny thinking to himself, it was this hard to get down, now we have to do it all again! Also seen in this picture are the Pringles that will be stolen by the chipmunk

As we started our hike down the Grand Canyon, the morning mist covered much of the canyon. As the day went on, it burned off revealing the full scope of the trail before us. We tried taking this shot for about 5 minutes - we had to get the timing, focus, and positioning just right.

In 2005, we went back to Grand Canyon to hike down the south rim to the Colorado River and back via Bright Angel trail. It was hot, we didn't have enough water, and were running low on food, but we made it and had a blast. At one point during a lengthy break at Phantom Ranch, a large chipmunk decided to steal some of Danny's snacks right from his bag. That little guy made it off with half our Pringles and we only got a story out of it! — with Dan Chou, Adrian Facini and Gabriel Facini

Who knows how many times Danny hiked this trail with various friends over the years. If memory serves, this attempt from 2013 was not one where he reached the summit, but he did make it up there shortly after!

Our first trip to the Grand Canyon's south rim. We came with next to nothing just to see it, but we wanted to start the hike to get a feel for the trail. After a few switch backs, the fog rolled in and it began to snow! We then drove back to Vegas partly in a blizzard. What a day trip! — with Dan Chou, Adrian Facini and Gabriel Facini

While on a trip to Vegas, Danny, my brother, and I ran out of things to do (somehow), so I convinced the group to drive out to the Grand Canyon because everyone should see it at least once in their life. While on our way, we stopped at the Hoover Dam for some photos.

2004, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA
We learned to snowboard together and loved hitting a mountain as much as we could each season (I'll never forget weekends at Danny's parents' place in the Poconos and our treks down Camelback) . After college, we splurged on a stay at Amangani. The whole experience was incredible, from the view at the hotel and the sunset on the drive back from the mountain to snowboarding the bowls on the mountain and having the most perfect pancakes each morning with a different fresh berry butter. It was epic

While Danny was interning in Silicon Valley, we flew out to visit him and spend time in San Francisco. It was the first time we were all in San Francisco together - who knew then that he would live there and we'd make so many more amazing memories in that city. — with Dan Chou, Adrian Facini, Steve Conley and Gabriel Facini
