I first met Danny at work...I knew him as the guy who ran the football "pick a square" thingy during the football season...honestly, in watching him, I thought he was a bit arrogant...after our Department moved right next to his, I got to know him and my opinion changed...Danny was a funny guy...always kept me laughing, which was especially helpful after most of the workers left at 5:00...Danny, you are missed by many...
I met Danny at Lakewood PD,  He was one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.  My sincerest condolences to his family, both blood and blue.  He will be missed.
I am another person who met Dan/Weshea through World of Warcraft. We also shared a love of flying and I bored him with  stories of my USAF flying days. Once we found that we both lived in Colorado, we occasionally visited with each other (as well as other guildmates who were passing through) and I regret we did not spend more time together. He was an outstanding person and a good friend and he will be missed.

Bob and Mary Sue,

I was so sorry to hear about your son Dan’s death. My heart aches for you both. Losing a son is unimaginable, and it touches me deeply as I think of John, who also left us far too soon. I remember the friendship you and John and the whole Perkins’ family shared, and I hope you feel surrounded by the love and care of those who knew and loved your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I first met Danny in World of Warcraft, as his rogue Weshea.  I was a shy, nervous kid trying to find a group of people to fit in with, and he was one of the first to reach out to me and start to include me in things.  He and a handful of people helped me get through some difficult times in my life, whether they knew about it or not.  It grew from there, and he became someone I always wanted to play with.  He was such a great person to know and have around.  He always made any conversation funnier and eased any tensions that may have come up.  The few times that we hung out in person, that absolutely continued.  I know that there are a lot of people, in two worlds, who are going to miss him.

I met Danny through wow and he was someone everyone quickly grew to know and love. He brought and energy to the world that is unmatched and was one of the most giving and personable person I have ever met. He made a lasting impression on my life. He will be missed. Sincere condolences.

I met Danny playing World Of Warcraft.  He always kept his cool, and knew what he was doing.  He became the Rogue class leader and that group ran like a fine-tuned machine.  He was always so fun to talk to.  His humility and self-deprecating humor was always welcome.

I didn't realize until years later that I had some moderate depression at that time.  Danny (and about 4 others) helped me stay sane when life wasn't going so well.  I wish we lived closer.  We only hung out in person 3 or 4 times, but probably spent thousands of hours playing WoW, or DCS, or Star Citizen together.  These last few days I've found myself replaying our DCS videos on YouTube.
