My name is Zenon Arribalzaga and I lived with the Hoban family from 1961 to 1965 as their foster child. I had left Cuba at 15 years of age without parents. Dan was the only Hoban child still at home. We both attended Central Catholic High School. I am forever grateful that the Hoban family opened their home to me. They always treated me as one of their children. They gave me a lot of love and very needed stability. They saved my life. My parents left Cuba in 1965 and moved to Fort Wayne until the early 70s when they moved to Puerto Rico where they died. I moved out of Fort Wayne in 1968 and now live in Brooklyn New York. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Mr. and Mrs. Hoban were a very loving couple and they raised five wonderful children. Zenón 

Marie i just wanted to say how sorry i am to see the news about your dad. You probably will not remember me as your were baby when i baby sat you for your mom and dad (in Detroit) and at Crystal lake. Dan was a kind and thoughtful person and we shared many a fund times together. After i graduated from UD we lost touch and sadly reading the news in the UD news letter i just learned about your dads passing (odd we both ended up in Florida..). I pray that your life turned out happy and filled with sunshine and blessings. Frank
