So sorry for your loss. Dana was a great man and the best Director the Federal Air Marshal Service ever had. Wish more were like him. He cared for his people, and we loved him for it. He will be truly missed. God bless him and may the good Lord bless and keep his family.

At the end of the day, for all of us, the question will be asked; did you make a difference; did you leave the world, your community, a better place. Dana Brown checked those boxes by serving his country and our nation with great pride.  He lead others by example...quietly.

Dana will be greatly missed, but will live in our hearts eternally.

He was that rare kind of a man who was a glowing example of what true dedication, loyalty and service meant.  He always tried to leave whatever he was involved in better than he found it.  Dana was one of the finest men I ever had the privilege of knowing and his kindness was never ending.  To show the impact he had on people, there were nine of the original Dallas Task Force he supervised over 25 years ago present at the memorial.  That is lasting respect.  You did a good old friend; time to rest and gaze down on the legacy you left.  Semper Fidelis

With Dana's passing, there is a hole in the world that can never be filled. I know others would all agree he was the most remarkable, talented, driven, patriotic, ethical, dedicated, and kind human being one could ever meet. His contributions to the Nation are measured in his Vietnam War service, Purple Heart, decades in Federal (and previously County) law enforcement, and courage and bravery facing his long-term service-connected medical conditions. It was my honor, privilege, and good fortune to have had Dana as a boss, mentor, and professional influence. Just one of many aspects of Dana's leadership was his advancement of women in law enforcement and in law enforcement-connected positions; he ensured others were in a position to contribute and grow. Rest in peace Dana. All who knew you mourn your departure, hold you in the highest possible regard, and will remember and miss you always.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Dana. Sending my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dana Brown.  He was a friendly, fair, respected man.

Lorraine and the Brown family, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Thank you for the privilege and honor to work for Dana, who was a tireless, dedicated, approachable and highly ethical leader who always led by example.  Dana was fully committed to the security of the U.S. as well as the well-being of people he led and frequently sought (their) opinions and ideas. Regardless of level or rank, he always took the time to get to know his staff, including those assigned to distant locations. (Yes, he remembered their names too!) It was the greatest honor and privilege to work for Dana and will always be appreciative for his tenacity, honestly, leadership and friendship as he set the example of what it takes to be a leader, great boss and individual. God Bless, you Dana, thank you for your service to the Marines, USSS, FCPD, the Federal Interagency Community after the events of 9/11/01 and the FAMS - may you rest in peace knowing you truly made a lasting, positive difference and impacted many during the brief time you were here with us.    Most Sincerely, Alexis L. Smollok, SAC Baltimore Field Office (Ret.), TSA - Federal Air Marshal Service
AD Brown was one of the best leaders I have ever had the honor to work for! He embodied everything that I loved about being a part of the United States Secret Service. His legacy of leadership will long endure. May he rest in peace.
Dana was the consummate professional and a classic gentleman, who will truly be missed. He was both an incredibly competent and compassionate leader, who truly cared about people. God bless you!
My condolences to Dana's family and friends. I first met Dana when he came over to the FAMS. Throughout my time working for him, he was an extraordinary leader and mentor who inspired me throughout my career.  His memory will live on through the many people he inspired.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Dana was a fine man and a gentleman and it was my honor to know him and to work with him.
One of my greatest privileges in life was to have served as part of Dana's team. He was a tremendous leader and mentor who cared deeply about his family, his Country, the mission, and about all of those around him. A kinder, steadier, more competent, and more honorable man you will never find.

Dear Lorraine and Family,

On behalf of the Air Marshal National Council (AMNC) and the entire Federal Air Marshal community, we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Director Dana Brown.

Director Brown was a man of extraordinary character, integrity, and compassion, whose leadership left a lasting and positive mark on the Federal Air Marshal Service and all who had the privilege of serving with him. His willingness to listen, lead with humility, and work directly alongside Air Marshals set him apart as a true servant leader.

Beyond his remarkable career, we know that Dana’s greatest pride and legacy was his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, and we hope you find comfort in knowing how deeply he was respected, admired, and loved by the men and women he led.

May his memory forever be a blessing.

With heartfelt sympathy,

Air Marshal National Council (AMNC)

God bless Dana's soul and comfort his family. Semper Fidelis.
Dana was a true gentleman and a respected leader.  Dana’s passion for excellence was his driving goal.  Dana will be missed by us all, but never forgotten.   May God bless his journey home.  RIP 🙏
My deepest condolences to the family. Dana was a great person. U. S. Secret Service Dallas Field Office.
Director Brown was the epitome of competent and compassionate leadership. For most of the Federal Air Marshals who were struggling with morale issues prior to his selection to lead the organization, he was a reinvigorating breath of fresh air. His thoughtful policy changes and no b.s. town halls sought to right the ship and definitely had positive impacts on the work force. Thank you for your service sir and may you rest in power!
I had the honor and pleasure of working for Dana. There was no greater servant to the mission of the Secret Service. Condolences to Lorraine, Lisa, and family. May his memory be eternal.
