Connie and her husband had invited us for a luncheon for Mother's Day. We enjoyed our afternoon also with another couple. She had given me a container that has a sunflower and a butterfly that hovers in the sunlight. It still hovering to this day. A beautiful memory of Connie.

This picture of Connie & Bob is wonderful. Her smile and spirit reflects her happiness within her sole. I didn’t see Connie often, but when we did it was a wonderful occasion with family. When she arrives at heaven’s gate she will be embraced by all the people she loved and devoted her life to. May she rest in peace. Carolee Norton

Connie and Bob,and my husband Dean and I, as we often did, went to lunch. After lunch walking to our cars I decided I wanted to send a pix of this to our long distance grown children. But designer Connie , ever so concerned with colors, said she did not have a lipstick with her. So I said here use mine. She took it from me, looked at the color, and with a smirk looked at Bob and said "Orange."
Bob spoke so much about Connie's designer skills that we hired her to help us redecorate our home. The first time she helped us select curtains for our master bedroom suite. To our surprise the installer was none other than our friend Bob.
Connie's design choices for most folks were classy and conservative. And our choices tended to be a little more colorful. So one time during a design session we were selecting a very colorful pattern, and she responded in her honest way, "What do you want it to look like-- a circus?" Of course she was right, and we wound up loving her choices for other re-design home projects.
One final thought.
Connie loved husband Bob a lot. For his 70th birthday, she wanted to surprise him with a special gift. After discussing it with the other members of the Studio D Sax Quartet (Bob played baritone sax), Connie bought him a very special and expensive baritone sax case. Bob was thrilled by the surprise during his birthday celebration at their home.
