Collette's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Collette Goode on January 31, 2025. Born on Christmas day in 1960, she brought joy and love to every life she touched. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Jonne and Jack W. Goode, and cherished sister, Cheryl Anderson. Collette’s memory will be treasured by her surviving brothers, Jon "Hap" Goode and Greg Goode, as well as her sisters-in-law, Michele Goode and Rona Goode. A Celebration of Life in her honor will be held on March 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at 32588 Miller Ct. Temecula. Graduating from Lawndale High School in 1979, Collette was a lifelong learner with a compassionate heart. She faced her diagnosis of Parkinson's disease in 2021 with bravery and grace, never losing her humor and friendly disposition. Despite the challenges, she remained an active part of her community, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life such as enjoying Journey's Lights, her favorite song, and cheering on her beloved teams, Dodgers, 49ers, Lakers and UCLA sports. Collette will be remembered as a kind, caring, and thoughtful woman. She relished the sweet things in life; from her favorite In-n-Out's well-done fries and extra sauce packets with every order to her love for Hallmark TV shows. Her beverage preferences varied over the years, ranging from Sprite and Root Beer to Dr Pepper. She loved watching sports and Dodger reruns, her sense of joy and camaraderie was infectious. Her indescribable love for her cats Cinnamon, Manny, Vinny and Katarina led her to support "Compassionate Animal Rescue for Medical Aid", a charity to which donations are being made in lieu of flowers (https://everloved.com/life-of…) With humor, sensitivity, and infinite kindness, Collette taught those around her invaluable lessons. She taught her brother Hap to shop at Walmart and battled Parkinson's without showing pain, demonstrating a strength which inspired those around her. Her legacy of generosity and love will forever remain in our hearts. During these moments of sorrow, we reflect on the vibrant life of Collette Goode. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. Rest in Peace, Collette. We love you.
