Celebrating The Life of Clifton Lee Richardson
- [ ] On August 6th 1951, in Martinez CA., Clifton Lee Richardson was born to the union of UL Richardson and Mary Easter. Clifton was the baby boy of the family. Having 4 older siblings, he was a vibrant and adventurous child. Three more siblings would come after him whom he loved tremendously. He loved all of his siblings equally the same. They were and still are a very lively lovable bunch.
- [ ] As a youth, Clifton was baptized and saved at Hamilton Temple COGIC under the leadership of Elder “Dad” Hamilton. He later became a member of New Hope COGIC under the leadership of Elder Willie E. Easter until his passing. Growing up in Stockton CA., Clifton attended James Monroe, Alexander Hamilton, Franklin High School, Delta College and University of the Pacific earning his AA degree in business. He later worked for the Social Security office for a brief time.
- [ ] During Clifton’s time in high school he would meet the love of his life- her name would be Patricia Ann Boyd. They would fall in love and get married. On December 3rd 1973, the magic happened when they welcomed a daughter named Makiba Oufe’Kee Richardson. The magic would happen once again on September 26th 1978 with the arrival of a son named La’Tef Butar Richardson. Clifton loved his children greatly.
- [ ] Clifton loved his family and friends. He LOVED his Nightingale family. He always talked about the “good ole days.” He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, reading, listening to gospel music, sitting around being pampered by his grandkids 😊 and watching his two favorite tv stations: Tubi and MGM western channel.
- [ ] Clifton is preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Ann Boyd; Parents: UL Richardson and Mary Romeo; Step Father: Ruben Romeo; Siblings: Wanda Williams, Christine Franklin, Bessie Mae King, Jennifer McCoy, Larry Richardson and Jerome Means. And best friend Lavell Thurman whom was always at Granny’s house. Couldn’t get rid of him😊😂
- [ ] Clifton leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Makiba Richardson(Michael) and son La’Tef Richardson(Queen); Siblings: James Richardson(Pat), Mary Lou Smith, Patsy Williams-Moreno(Harry), Debra Rolland(James), Annie Brown, Connie Means and Barbara Means. One Aunt: Ethel Tamani Brice(Lord Henry); 8 grandchildren: Cynthia Sanders, Malik Grim, Derrion Grim, Cinque Sanders, Patricia Sanders, Arion Grim, Faith Grim and Ty’Leo Grim. Two special cousins: Missionary Pamela Easter and Missionary Beverly Amos; Three special nieces: Shana, Du’ Preshai and Dorcas; Special Nephews Marquis and Devin; and his longtime best friend Rev. Jimmy Ray Hall.
