One of the many, many get togethers through the years @ Chuck & Leona’s Danville, CA home — this one was a required Halloween costume party many, many years ago. Eventually, their parties evolved to an ‘’Annual Super Bowl’’ event that includes (gambling/no age restrictions) buy-in football pool squares, plenty of food that always include Leo’s famous ‘’nor mai fon ’’ & plenty of family/friends that filled up their entire huge home with abundance of laughter throughout the entire day until the final touchdown!!!! Thank you for the for the wonderful memories through the years that will remain close to our hearts & will never be forgotten….

I’ve been good friends with Kelly for 20+ years, and so I’ve had the pleasure of running into Chuck from time to time. Two memories stand out:
1) dancing with him at Kelly’s wedding - the guy really was the life of the party
2) due to a fortunate set of circumstances, watching a Warriors playoff game with him at a bar in Mexico in 2016. He was tired of Draymond Green’s antics. Just shows he was a truly knowledgeable hoop fan and ahead of his time!
My best to the family. From everything I can tell Chuck was a wonderful guy, he loved, was loved, and lived a life of fun, joy, and meaning.

Dear Leona and Family,
Martin and I express our heartfelt condolences at the sudden passing of Chuck.
It was at the James Center Reunion that I last saw him after so many years. I'm glad we greeted each other and spoke a few words then.
We wish you and your family peace and serenity at this sad time.
Much love,
Jeanette and Martin

We had many years of memorable times with Chuck and Leona. We were thinking a lot about our incredible trip to Japan in 2019. We roamed the streets and night markets all over Japan, getting lost and finding hidden gems at every turn...from sushi to the best ramen joints where every turn was an adventure. We will always cherish these moments with many other times where we shared meals and trips together. Chuck really added to the laughter and excitement for trying new things. We will miss him immensely.
Our Love,
Eugene and Roza

I’m so sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing. He was always a pleasure to see at any bridge tournament. And maybe a home game or two. He will be missed by us fellow bridge players. RIP my friend.
