My deepest condolences to Chris' family and friends. I worked with Chris for many years on behalf of indigenous courtworkers throughout Canada. He was so dedicated and passionate to this work and he will be so missed.
Words cannot begin to express my sorrow for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family.

We just heard. So sorry. So sudden.  So sad. Our sympathies to the family. Love you all and all you have done for your ohana  Manusiu.  Our prayers are with you.

Boyd and Maile

I had the opportunity to get to know Chris on a professional level.  He was passionate and dedicated in the work he was doing for communities.  When we would share stories, often it was stories about his family.  This is where you definitely saw the joy and pride his spouse, kids and grandkids brought into his life.  My deepest condolences go out to the family during this difficult time.  Keep you memories alive and he will forever live in your hearts.

To the Lafontaine family.

Our deepest condolences... we are shocked and saddened to hear of Chris's passing.

Chris was an amazing individual with a very analytical mind. He always asked the tough questions and kept me on my toes with a deeper understanding than most. I will truly miss our conversations.

Please know that our thoughts are with you and your family. If there is anything we can do to support you during this time, do not hesitate to reach out.

Wishing you peace and comfort as you navigate the days ahead.

With deepest sympathy,

Jack and Trish Wozniak.

We are so sorry to hear of Chris's passing.  He and I went to Young Adult activities over in the old Broadway chapel.  Must have been 1975 or 76.  His locker was next to mine in the temple and I could always count on a smile and cheerful comment from him there.  I will miss him.  Our condolences to you who are his family.

Our sincere condolences to the Lafontaine family. I see your husband, father, and grandfather as my brother. He had the rare capacity to be both quiet and courageous, humble and confident.  He knew his purpose and lived it.  May your faith sustain you as you grieve his passing and celebrate his legacy.

We love you uncle Chris and love you auntie Loni

Chris was so intelligent and pragmatic, but he also had a keen sense of humour. I was very impressed with the way he had progressive ideas and embraced new technology. He advanced Gabriel Dumont Institute/Métis education in Saskatchewan and many have him to thank for their current successes. His devotion to family and community will be remembered.
