Christopher's obituary

It is with immense heartache that we announce the passing of Christopher Huson, a cherished son, brother, uncle ,nephew, cousin, friend, and a valuable member of the community. Christopher was born on June 16, 1965, and passed away far too soon on December 22, 2024. His vibrant presence will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege to know him.

Christopher was a model of charm and humor. His infectious laughter and captivating storytelling endeared him to many. His light-hearted spirit reminded everyone of the joy in life, making every room brighter with his presence.

A man of many accomplishments, Christopher led a life of undeniable success. He achieved a hole-in-one at Bethpage State Park, a memory cherished by his friends and fellow golf enthusiasts. As an Operating Engineer for Local 138, Christopher was respected for his craftsmanship . His academic pursuits led him to earn an Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, demonstrating his commitment to both personal and professional development. Christopher also served our nation with honor as a member of the United States Navy, a testament to his deep sense of patriotism and duty.

Despite these numerous achievements, Christopher's legacy is not confined to his professional and personal accolades. He was a man who loved his family deeply, and always made himself available to lend a helping hand when he was able to do so . His commitment to his family was unwavering and his love was unconditional.

Christopher leaves behind his loving family including Dad, Richard Huson, his sister’s Michele Walsh, Jennifer Huson-Maywald (and his brother in law Gordon Maywald) and Dina Fara, his Nieces and Nephews Brittney and Steve, Ashley and Warren , Taylor, Caitlin, Alissa , Christian, Gavin, Haley and Viviane , several cousins and his Aunts Bitsy and Cookie. His bond to his family was a source of great joy and comfort to Christopher, and he will be profoundly missed by all of them.

A memorial service to celebrate Christopher's life will be held on January 11, 2025, at 2pm at East Gate Church in Massapequa, NY . We invite all those who knew and loved Christopher to join us as we honor his remarkable life and bid him a poignant farewell.

It is impossible to capture Christopher's spirit in words. His absence will be deeply felt by everyone who had the joy of knowing him. While we mourn his passing, we find comfort in the countless moments of joy and laughter he shared with us.
