As I sit here trying to think of a few words about Chris I find that it is not possible. Our friendship began 45 years ago in NYC. During that time we became brothers. There are just so many memories that one could say those years can be called "Chris and Gus' Excellent Adventure". But today, I will remember the Man. I remember his roaring laugh, his dancefloor moves, and his infectious smile. Chris had the ability to make someone his friend immediately. He truly was a Giant among men and was well mannered on top of that. Unbelievable! There will never be anyone like Chris again. I am glad that I named my first born son after Chris. Thank you, my brother. Rest in Peace.
Words fail to express my deep sorrow for your loss. Chris was kind, gentle, thoughtful and generous. I share your sadness as we remember him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
It's been 40 plus years since I last saw the "Gentle Giant." We spent many hours together in the NYU weight room, eating whole rotisserie chickens smothered in hot sauce and working the new wave clubs in NYC. Johnny Thunders sang, "You can't put your arms around a memory" but Chris, may your memory be a blessing. My condolences to the family.
My deepest sympathy goes to the Harriman family. Chris you were a friend of friends. I will never forget the times we had together and the laughter we shared was unmatched. The memories we created will always be forever cherished and until we meet again, look down upon us with your broadest of smiles. Peace be with you.
