Charles's obituary
Charles Edward Stocklin was born on December 21, 1950 to the late Willie Marshall and Dealie Mae Stocklin-Jennings of Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his brothers Milton Stocklin, Carl Stocklin, Gerald Moore, and Kenneth Cavitt. Charles confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Charles attended Bryan public schools and graduated from EA Kemp High School, Class of 1969. He also attended Prairie View A&M University from 1970 -1971. He enjoyed his high school years with numerous friends. Especially, when he played football for the EA Kemp Bears. Charles began his 25 year career span as a Typographer with Mitchell Energy in Houston. In addition, Charles relocated to and continued his career as a Typographer with Newman Printing Company in Bryan. Years later his work transitioned to the oil field. Charles was a listening ear to many family and friends. Charles had a special relationship with his Mother and loved her dearly. He loved and valued the Stocklin family holiday gatherings. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephews.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories shared by his sisters Gloria Kennard, Mildred Baker, Carolyn M. Stocklin Davis, Edith Stocklin Roy, Patsy Stocklin Lockett; nieces and nephews Latasha Baker, Tiffany Craven, Steven Baker, Richard Roy II, Patrice Nicole Roy, Gerishia V. Davis, Karla Stocklin, Rokeisha Allen, Elmesha Davis and host of great nieces and nephews.
