Charlie's obituary
Charles “Charlie” Joseph Hron Weigle, of Monroe, Connecticut, passed away on July 21, 2025. He was 31.
Born on January 12, 1994, Charlie was a creative soul, passionate about technology, music , and entrepreneurship. From a young age, Charlie loved exploring computer programming, digital art, and creating electronic music.
Charlie was a 2012 graduate of Masuk High School in Monroe, CT, where he was active in the school’s technology, robotics, and theatre programs. He served the community as Barnum Prince for Bridgeport's Barnum Festival in 2011. He went on to graduate with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017.
Charlie’s memory is kept alive by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Charlene Hron and William Weigle, sisters Emily and Caroline Hron Weigle, cousins Elizabeth Pronechen and Christopher Alesevich, and his loving aunts and uncles.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, July 31st from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A remembrance service will take place on Friday August 1st at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home, after which we will proceed to Park Cemetery for the burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Charlie’s memory be made to either the Masuk High School Robotics Program, which encourages those young people who, like Charlie, love to explore the possibilities of technology and engineering, or to Regional Youth Adult Social Action Partnership (Catalyst CT), which works to empower youth, families, and communities in Connecticut.
