I am so grateful for so many fun memories with Charlie throughout middle school and high school, including our theatre experiences on stage in Seussical and backstage in high school, Destination Imagination, eating lunch together, coming with my family on a trip to a corn maze, and so many more.  Charlie always had a way of making people smile and laugh. I know I have more photos of us together buried in a physical photo album somewhere, but wanted to a share a few backstage shenanigans I was able to find on my computer. I am sending so much love and strength to Caroline, and the entire Hron Weigle family for this heartbreaking loss. <3

This is incredibly sad. I remember hanging out with Charlie in the tech corps & elsewhere at Masuk. Even now his memory hits me clear as lightning - a spirited, original, and authentic soul (and certainly never a dull moment in his presence). My utmost sympathy to everyone touched by his loss.
Halloween
2000, Monroe Elementary School, 27th Avenue Southeast, Everett, WA, USA
Charlie was one of the first people I ever called friend. We met in kindergarten and were inseparable all through out elementary school. I still remember playing our game withe no purpose or rules "mission" at recess with Ben Call. His dad donated An Old Apple III computer to Monroe El. I remember teaching ourselves how to program in basic in 3rd grade and making a Happy birthday scroll across the screen for our teacher. All the time spent doing Destination imagination and odyssey of the mind together throughout middle school.  All the time spent hanging out and being dumb teenagers in high school. Throughout the 13 years I spent hanging out with charlie he was always one of the smartest, quirkiest, kindest people I knew. Even though we drifted apart after high school, there has never and will never be a day that goes by that I don't consider Charlie one of the best friends I've ever had.  My heartfelt condolences go out to his entire family.
Charlie was the only other kid in our class to go to Pitt. I was excited to see him there freshman year - just a little surprised at the way I did. He was skateboarding at night, holding a piece of cardboard cut in the shape of the bat signal and covered in tin foil. I want to say that it was on fire too but that might be my brain adding a little extra drama. I strongly remember the scene though. He went by and said, “Hi Erin!!” and I thought, yep that’s Charlie! Never a dull moment, and always made me smile.

Along with Charlie, I was nominated to join the Bridgeport Barnum Festival royalty competition in 2011. Throughout it, I got to know Charlie as a funny, kind, genuine, authentic person. It was no surprise to anybody that he took the crown of Prince of the Barnum Festival on that final day of the competition. I am so sorry for this unimaginable loss. I send my most heartfelt condolences to the Hron Weigle family.
Caroline and the rest of the Hron Weigle family it's hard to find the words to say. Charlie was a great friend and the memories I will still with me forever. From messing around everyday in Chemistry and Physics, hundreds of trips to Pancheros, pushing me to join robotics, to laughing so hard we cried out the window of my car when the world never came to the rapture. Each memory so bright because of what Charlie brought to this world. I echo Steve in saying I only wish I could have spent more time with him, but there's nothing I would trade for the times we did have together.

Charlie and I playing Pretty …
Charlie and I playing Pretty Pretty Princess. It's one of my favorite photos of the two of us as little kids.

Once upon a time 14 years ago, there was a failed school project called 500 Days of Physics, parodying 500 Days of Summer. Charlie was one of the main characters, but here's an excerpt of him playing Otherside by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Sorry for (both) of our terrible singing.

My condolences to the Hron Weigle family, he was a great friend and I wish I spent more time with him personally. He lit up every room he was in and I have too many great memories with, and of him.

Caroline and the Hron Weigle family, I am saddened and shocked to learn about Charlie's passing. I'll never forget being in Seussical with him in 2008 and how he played Vlad Vladikoff and how every time I saw a production of the show since then, I have never seen as memorable of a Vlad as him. Off stage, Charlie was super kind, smart, and funny, making everyone around him laugh. I will cherish the memories I have of him and am so sorry for your loss!
I am so devastated to learn of Charlie’s passing. I went to Masuk and did theatre with  him and he was a wonderful person, hilarious, kind to everyone, and super smart. I look back on my memories with him fondly and my heart is with the Weigle family.
