I'd like to offer my deepest condolences too my cousins Charles, Monica and Eva on the loss of your father(grandfather). Uncle Charles will be deeply missed and I'm thankful for all the love, laughter and lessons that he instilled in me. May he and aunt Diane forever be together in the glory of God

Uncle Charles was a cool uncle. When they was living in Red Hook Brooklyn , we would get together a lot. Uncle Charles and AuntDiane were very welcoming I remember the holidays , and the cookouts around the pool I remember my mom would put him on the spot telling him to come up and sing when he would come to a program she gave at church , he’d sit there for a minute but he’d go up there and have everyone on there feet with that smooth voice he had. Sending up my timber would be the song he would always sing. Every time I here that song I always think of you. SIP Uncle Charles I will continue to cherish all the memories

When my granddaughter Melody was born Charles took a strong liking to her. When she was 3 years old Charles gave her a doll that was taller than she. Charles asked her what she named the doll and she replied, “Big Black Baby”! I can still remember the look on his face as he laughed that hearty laugh of his.
I’ll miss Charles but I find comfort in knowing that he and my dear friend Diane are reunited in Heaven..

Dearest Houston Family, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Charles's passing. He was a gentle man of quiet strength, capacity, and capability. I knew Mr. Charles as not just a good man, but witnessed him be a remarkable human, husband, brother, uncle, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend. It was heartbreaking to see and hear of his recent struggles with health and life. Although he will be sorely, sorely missed, we can be continually grateful to God that he is now at peace. To Mr. Charles we say, "Well done thy good and faithful servant". We will always love and remember you. Peace and blessings to the Houston Family with the love and grace of God and Jesus. Amen
