So sorry for your loss. I loved Chad like a brother. We had some great times together and a lot of laughs. He will be missed. I have some great stories about him. Before we all had iPhones, Chad was our non-stop entertainment on long rides to soccer games, waiting in line at Taco Bell at lunch, during class, …he was always on. He would stand up next to the teacher in 7th grade Spanish class and do a 15 minute impromptu comedy skit making fun of the teacher that had everyone laughing…including the teacher.
So one day in class I tell Chad how me and Stogs were burning spiders by making a blow torch out of matchesi and hair spray. The next day he comes to class upset and somber looking. Totally out of character. “Teek, why did you have to tell me about the blow torch? I went home and I was sitting on the toilet and I saw the matches and can of hair spray and figured I’d see if it really worked. Well, it did, but I caught the plastic shower curtain on fire and the whole bathroom went up in flames. I couldn’t put it out so I had to call the fire department. When the fire was out I asked a fireman to stay because my dad was going to kill me. The fireman said “don’t worry kid, the fires out, you’re safe now.” But I said “no, you don’t understand, my dad is going to KILL me.” So the fireman stayed until my dad got home and intervened.
Bob, thanks for not killing Chad. We got a few more decades of laughs out of him.
Mom, sorry about the bathroom. I guess it’s partly my fault. Thanks for all the banana bread over the years.
One of Chad’s impromptu heckles was about a skateboard a guy was carrying. It read “Dead men tell no tales.” Well, your tales keep coming brother.
See you in heaven.

Everyone has a Chad story, I could tell several as you all could. I met him later than most of you at some crap job after the mortgage industry washed out and he was an immediate compadre. Sorry I never had the chance to taste that pot roast that he was a big fan of Ma, as he called you. Hurts my heart, he loved you so much Trish and you were there til the end which speaks highly of your character. We are all bummed he's gone but I'm just glad he didn't suffer too much. I'm not a religious guy but I believe he's in the light.

Man, I miss this guy. What a unique & special friend Bona is. I still say is because I constantly think about him. I look forward to seeing all of his friends & family on Saturday. Thank you for all of my nicknames Bona. I miss our calls. We may have not always agreed on stuff, but we ALWAYS remained friends.

Lynn and Bob, we are so sorry for your loss of your beloved son Chad. He was apart of the McDonald family boys. He nicknamed Darin, Squeege, and Kevin, Doogus. Clever guy. Those names stayed with them always ! We remember his humor. Kev and Chad played little league together. There are probably lots of stories we have yet to hear about.
We hold you and your family and his wife Trish in our hearts and prayers. We know this loss ourselves. We are here for you.
Sorry to miss his celebration of life but know we will be thinking of you!
With love
Sharon and Rich.

Im so devastated with Chad's passing. i would not be the person i am today had i not met him. Of course he named me, like the rest of you all. I was MIcis Doogas, period, and it has lived with me ever since. He was always laughing and making those around him do the same. i was blessed to talk with him about a year ago and it had been 30 years since we connected. You wouldnt have known, we picked up right where we left off. i lived my life as a bigger person knowing that Chad like me. Made me feel big and better about myself. I loved Chad and will miss him dearly. Doogas
