Chad's obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Chad "Chadboy" Johnson, a man of unique humor and boundless love, who left us on April 2, 2024. Chad was born on December 24, 1969, a day that brought laughter and joy into this world. His physical presence may have ceased, but his infectious laughter and his soulful influence echoes in our hearts.

Chad was a man of many names, affectionately known by his loved ones as Chadboy, Bona, and Chud. If you knew Chad, you most likely received a name of your own. His personality was a wonderful concoction of hilarious wit and a spirit of amusing mischievousness. His life mantra was simple- always laugh at yourself, a lesson that he regularly passed onto others. No matter the circumstances, Chad's light-hearted humor and resilience made every situation brighter, even in his last days.

Chad greatly cherished the great outdoors, his affection for surfing being a true testament to that. His love for going to the cabin at the Russian River had always been a particular favorite. But, his greatest achievement, as he often fondly divulged, was meeting the love of his life, Trish; who he married on the day he departed from this world. A love like theirs can only be defined as eternal.

Chad is survived by his beloved wife, Trish, his caring mother, Lynn Johnson, his strong and supportive father, Bob Johnson, and his loving sister, Heather Dillon. Each one of them played a significant role in shaping Chad into the person we all cherished.

His legacy of love for his family and friends will continue to shine brightly, inspiring us all. He was an epitome of unconditional love, a wonderful son, brother, uncle, step-Chad, and husband. His life was a vivid example of how to love and live with laughter on the lips and joy in the heart.

Chad's life will be celebrated with loved ones and friends on June 15, 2024, with a paddle out in the morning and celebration of his life in the afternoon. Chad's vibrant spirit will surely resonate in both occasions, reminding us all that though he has departed, his love and laughter remain with us.
