Cessna's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cessna Whittington, who left us on May 7, 2023. Born on November 25, 1977, Cessna lived a vibrant and rich life, always showcasing her fun, carefree, caring, and intelligent personality. There was truly no one else like her; she was never afraid to be herself and constantly wore a bright smile on her face. She believed in enjoying life to the fullest and will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cessna is survived by her loving family: her mother, Tammy Smith; her children, Brittany Dela Cruz and Timothy McGuire; her siblings, Jerri Burris, Kirk Whittington, and Billy Whittington; and several other relatives and close friends who cherished her presence in their lives.
Throughout her life, Cessna demonstrated an immense passion for learning and growth. On March 6, 1996, she achieved a significant personal milestone by receiving her high school equivalency diploma. She continued to embrace the joys of motherhood, welcoming her children in 1997 and 1999, who brought her immeasurable happiness and pride.
Cessna's love for life was reflected in her hobbies and interests. She relished in singing and playing music, which brought joy not only to her but to everyone around her as well. Her favorite color, blue, symbolized her carefree and calming spirit. In her leisure time, she often enjoyed sipping on her favorite Dr. Pepper, a simple pleasure that always brought a smile to her face.
As we gather to remember and celebrate Cessna's life, we are reminded of the incredible impact she had on those who knew her. Her unique combination of warmth, intelligence, and unapologetic authenticity will forever be etched in our hearts and memories. We will cherish the time we spent with her and strive to honor her legacy by living life with the same zest and passion she embodied.
