Thank you for loving Cenny.

Larry & Family

Cenny was my sister’s godmother, but I always felt like she was also mine. She used to take us shopping and on special like excursions. She was the nicest person you’d ever meet.

I’ll never forget her laugh. It was one of a kind and immediately put a smile on your face.

You’re in a better place now Cenny, but I just want you to know I love you and miss you dearly.

Cenny will always be someone who I will admire for her  uniqueness, charming personality, and love for others. As her goddaughter, I was very fortunate to have Cenny around during most of my life traveling to different countries. She was there in Tel Aviv Israel, when I was born and was also there while I was living in Sri Lanka and Panama. As her goddaughter, Cenny’s nickname for me was her “related”. Cenny treated me as if I were her own and has been looking out for me ever since I was born.

If you have spent any time with Cenny in a foreign country, then you will know that one of her biggest fears is cockroaches. I remember from when I was a little girl that she couldn’t even say the word instead, she would use the word “pirates”. As a little girl, this made me giggle, as when we lived in foreign countries growing up there have been a lot of “pirates”. Thank goodness to my knowledge she never saw one while I was with her.

I am so grateful that I got to grow up, living with both my godparents in countries all over the world. It is not every day that someone gets to say that. Cenny has always looked out for me, told me the dos and don’ts of the stock market, shared with me her life accomplishments, and made sure I was never slouching whenever we were sitting at dinner. I am so fortunate to have had such a great godmother, and I will cherish her memories forever.

Love,

Your related- Rylee

Dear Larry:

Our heartfelt condolences to you.

Ceni and You have been in our lives since our Cairo days in most special ways.

Your friendship has been a source of joy, laughter, good times,  and   comfort in our moment of need after the passing of Pieter, who was so fond of both of you.

We will always cherish and honor our beautiful friendship.

Ceni lives forever in our hearts and we think of her vibrant energy, her joyful laughter, her strength, her loyalty, her discipline, her uniqueness with love and gratitude.

She is  in our hearts as are you too.

This is the saddest of times, one of adjusting to being on your own, one of deep grieving, feeling the full weight of living without Ceni.

One never moves on.  One learns to live again.  We live in loving memory of our loved ones.

We embrace you with deep sympathy and much love.  We wish you continued fortitude, light and love to help you keep on keeping on.  We love you, Larry.

Maria, Laurens and Su-Yhen

Larry we are really sorry to hear about Ceni. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. She was such a nice and wonderful soul. We will pray to God to give you the mental strength and resilience to carry forward and to Rest her soul In Peace beside Him. Anuradha and VT Madhavan

Over the years as my sister-in-law, you became an accomplished individual, smart, talented, and always motivated to learn more. You and Larry were gracious hosts when I was able to visit stateside and on my “magical” trips to Egypt, Israel and Panama. I visited many parts of the world vicariously with you and Larry on your travels across the world. Thank you for taking such good care of my brother. Know that you are loved and missed.

Jan

I was so sorry to hear about Cenny's passing. She was such a charming and lovely person.  She will surely missed but will always remember her love to all of us!

Dear cousin Cenith, I want to say that despite your short life I felt great admiration and respect for you all these years because you managed to fulfill your dreams and you were successful in everything you undertook, in addition to being the angel who jealously cared for your loved ones. Now go and join those who went before you and rest in peace. You will always be remembered.

I met Cenny in Maadi (Cairo, Egypt) in 1993, when I, freshly out of college, moved there. We quickly became friends. She was such a bubble of joy, laughter, and love. So much fun to be around! She & Larry welcomed me into their home and their circle of friends. This meant so much to me.

Three years later, Cenny & Larry travelled all the way to Slovakia for my wedding. Few international guests made it to that wedding. It meant so much to me that they came. We had a wonderful time dancing, drinking, laughing, and simply being together. A big highlight of the evening was when the D.J. put on Spanish music and Cenny really began to dance.  Such wonderful memories for me of that day!

It's amazing how one year of friendship (in Egypt) blossomed into a special relationship that carried on through the years. Testimony indeed to what a special person Cenny was, and to what a wonderful couple she and Larry made.

Cenny will always remain in my memories as the wonderful friend I met in Maadi, who always brought a smile to my face with her joyful outlook on life.
