Of course I have known Carole for several lifetimes. We probably passed each other on the street; rode the same subway (her to the Bronx, me to Queens); ate hot dogs (not kosher) at some corner joint. It's just that we hadn't recognized each other. It wasn't until Holiday Magazine in about 1964 that we became the original BFFs. Doug and David, we will be in touch and try to see each other forever. You didn't know that the children of BFFs are joined together. I keep wanting to call Carole. I miss her SO MUCH. Love, Marti
