Everything was fun with my Aunt Carol. When I was very little, we would get out Mamaw's fox stole and I would pet it. When I was a young teen we would lay out on the beach in St Petersburg, Fl. When I was in my late teens and lamented about my lack of love life she encouraged and comforted me. When I married my best friend, she was my Maid of Honor. When my husband and I took our first vacation away from our parents, it was to visit Aunt Carol. We had so much fun. I gave her a makeover and we ate seafood out every night. As an adult, when I would call her every couple of weeks, we would talk for hours. She would talk about how proud she was of her sons. She talked about the trips she took, the beautiful clothes she wore, and also about her teaching and how much she loved her students. She talked about her Reiki and how she felt she had helped people with it. We would talk about food and she would give me diet tips. We talked about how much we loved animals. She would call me every year on my birthday and sing Happy Birthday to me and I still have it recorded on my phone. I was her only niece. Aunt Carol will always be one of my most favorite people and someone who shaped my life. Shari Burress Mosier
