My Sweet Sister, Carla, while we may not be sisters by blood, we are definitely sisters at heart.  I’ll always be so very thankful for that.  Although we didn’t get to do as much of life together as we hoped to do, God has taken us on quite a journey through the almost 48 years of knowing each other for sure.  Family events, visits and vacations allowed us to get to a lot of places, some many times over, through the years.  We got together or met up with each other on journeys that took us to Northern, Central, and Southern California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, and I think Texas (my brain is a little fuzzy on this one until I can find some pictures).  I’d say we did very well just like you did with living your life for Christ.  You have been a blessing to so many people in so many ways that you will never know.

We’ve laughed, cried, prayed, praised, worshipped, pondered, contemplated, questioned, failed, and triumphed alone and together while growing ever closer as sisters and to the Lord.  I won’t be going with you on this last journey but there will be plenty of Angels, Saints, and Jesus Christ himself ready with open arms to welcome you to your final home.  I will miss you more than words can say and look forward to seeing you again, my Beautiful, Special Sister, when I take that final journey.  You are so very special.  I love you.
