Dr. Carl Edward Fougerousse, Jr passed away on February 13, 2018 from a heart attack. He was 76 years old and lived in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born in Marshall, Texas on November 6, 1941 to Carl Edward Fougerousse, Sr and Martha Hughes Fougerousse. Edward is survived by his wife, Myra Eales Fougerousse, his two daughters, Laura Shanks and Nicole Schultz and their families, Trey, Calvin, and Henry Shanks & Todd, Matthew, and Alex Schultz. He also leaves behind his brothers, James and Richard Fougerousse and their wonderful families. Edward graduated from Tulane University and went on to get his medical degree from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He practiced psychiatry his entire adult life and helped countless patients. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, photography, and reading. Edward had a brilliant mind and an incredibly kind heart. His family will miss him dearly.
