Burden Lewis Langworthy, a longtime resident of Maywood, Illinois was born July 12th 1947, in Eudora, Arkansas to the late Samuel Lee Langworthy Sr, and Mary Kelly, who both preceded him in death. Burden was affectionately called by his middle name Lewis, by family members and friends. Being a hard worker, dedicated employee, and a very punctual person earned him many accolades from the Grainger Industrial Supply company where he worked for 47 years. 40 plus years of service along with 40 years of perfect attendance are just two of the accolades he received during his tenure at Grainger. Burden never married, but his love for his children was never so obvious to all who knew him. All he ever talked about where his four children Clyde, Natonia, Sheila, and Phoenicia. He leaves behind to cherish his fond memories: one brother, Sam Langworthy; three sisters, Mable Thurston-Mims, Joyce Thompson, and Shirley Tatum, all of California; one son Clyde Davis, Maywood, IL; three daughters Natonia Barrett, Sheila Williams, and Phoenicia Cunningham, all of Chicago, IL. 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
