Remember the noble heart on his Lotus attainment is immeasurable because of his help and support for those who are in need at the right times.
I always remember Bryan on September 18 because he and my mom were born on the exact same day. Love to all of Bryan's family
While I worked at Taliesin I was diagnosed with MS. While cleaning up emails last night from work there, I came across all of the emails that he sent me during and after the diagnosis. I had no idea that he knew about my condition and his thoughtfulness and consistent care touched me then, and brought tears to my eyes last night as I read through and saved those emails. I thought to myself, "I've got to contact Fanou" - and I received this email today....

I wanted to share what Bryan taught me:  That kindness and gentleness are the greatest strength.  The beauty of his soul lives with me, in me, as I think of him over the years, all the kindnesses and quiet truth we shared.  He loved so many things, but most of all, he loved to give, to serve, to study, to know the deeper Beauty of life, and he worshipped the Mother's Love and Wisdom and Truth and the ideals of Fraternite, (brotherhood, and true friendship), and lifted everyone up in quiet ways.  A real leader guides by example, by bringing out the best in others, not by drawing attention to himself.  A true leader serves, and in service, is glorified in simplicity.  I love you, Bryan, you will live forever.  I hope I see you again soon.

Kevin, Kira and I miss Bryan dearly! The world has lost the physical presence of a wonderful and amazing man, intelligent, creative, funny, loving, kind and so generous!

We treasure our memories of spending many holidays and birthdays together, attending festivals at Global View, taking long walks, enjoying  delicious meals on their porch and inside, swinging from hammock chairs, playing in the balloon room, sledding down their hill, meeting up at American players Theatre, playing games and in general having a really great time with stimulating conversation! So many treasured moments! We are so grateful for all these experiences and especially for being a part of their extended family. Bryan is a gem whose brilliance will always be remembered! We love you Bryan! ❤️❤️❤️

I have known Bryan for over 40 years. He was a good friend, kind, and gentle with a quiet sense of humor. He was like an older brother to me, always ready to listen and support me. I miss him greatly. All my love to Fanou and the kids.

"Love your neighbour as yourself." - Bible verse.

Bryan lived accordingly the verse means. He was very kind , sweet , intellect, humble, generous and can add many more good qualities. Above all he was a very good human.

Bryan and Fanou were a good ,happy and beautiful couple. Fanou was a great support in Bryan's entire life so that he achieved many of his wishes and dreams. As a couple they lived their life in love and had respect for each other. They were the best role models for young couples in many ways like parenting, leading happy life and helping others.

Bryan and Fanou guided me in my studies and cared my life. They comforted me in my distress. They have a special place in my life. I am very happy that my father named me after Fanou Walton.

Our big family was rooted in the soil of Auroville was because of our beloved Bryan.

His loss is unbearable but he lives in our heart.

Our prayers and love for Bryan's family.

With Love..

Fanou Sudhakar.

Dear Bryan, love from Tamil Nadu.

We love you always.

Bryan is always an adorable person.

On the first day of my conversation with Bryan in Auroville, I understood that the quality of a human being is being human with everyone.

Bryan had a sublime character whenever I felt depressed; he came in the form of an email and consoled my family with energetic words; those words gave us to strengthen the challenging conditions. I don't think my words are sufficient to thank and justify his noble heart. We feel honoured and fortunate enough to have him in our lives. He was a soft and elegant smiling person. Even after the lotus attainment of our dearest Bryan, we feel his soul around us.

Thank you, dear Fanou Bryan, for being in touch with us.

With love

A family gathering after some years.... — with Bryan, John and Josephin
1976, Fraternity, Auroville.

Bryan, John and Fraternity......

Mother's vision was Auroville, in that Bryan's vision was Fraternity.

Bryan had started Fraternity community in Auroville, adjacent to kuyillapalayam village.Inside the Fraternity , Bryan established cottage industries, such as mat weaving, handloom cloth weaving carpentry , tailoring, and manufactured hammock, lampshade, crochet garments etc . The villagers involved themselves in the various units of Fraternity. They all loved Bryan and made a good relationship with the Aurovillians.

The manufactured products of Fraternity were exported to various countries and the profit was given to Auroville needs. In this period, around 1973 Bryan came to know me (John Pushparaj) through my Parents Mary Ponnammah, and Jesudoss and my sister Chellathai. Thus he invited me to serve along with him for Auroville. First, he offered me to teach the village children and later few months he gave some responsible works in the office. In the due course, he studied my sincerity and responsibility in work, then he uplifted me to an administrator of the Fraternity units. Still 1981, along with Bryan we administered Fraternity community and thus we served Auroville.

Bryan loved and respected Tamil people very much. He was kind, generous in helping, sweet in nature and a very good finance administrator. On seeing my honesty, sincerity in work, and kind in handling the labourers driven Bryan to show more affection and respect on me. That let him to promote me as an Export Manager and as well as the administrator of Fraternity working units. I am always very great full to Bryan.

When I first met him, i wondered to see his gentle and attractive physic. I admired his beautiful face and long black beard rolled into a small neat bun . He was loved by all very much. Like an ant and honey bee he was very smart all the time. He visited each and every corner of Fraternity both in the morning and evening times. He gave drinking water supply to the kuyillapalayam villagers with pleasure. A hard worker. For the growth of Auroville he worked well in all kinds of situation and in all the time till his last breath. No one can deny his dedicated service to Auroville.

I shower my love and thanks for such a sweet hearted person. Let his soul rest in peace.

Our solace to his lovable wife Fanou, his children, and grand children.

With love

John and Family.

Bryan and you, Fanou, were and are closely held by Jack and by me

Your lives illustrate so keenly the truth of these words:

“There are only two ways to live your life.

One is as though nothing is a miracle.

The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

~ Albert Einstein

I plan on joining your celebration of Byran's life but it depends largely on Jack's condition as the week progresses.  He remains in skilled nursing here at Saint John's with some days seeming relentlessly dire, other reassuringly alert.  To those tilts and shifts I must be sensitive and responsive.  If I am at the school, I will be there. If not, nonetheless close.

Bryan had a passion for living. He was curious about everything, and in a world that is often dark and depressing he kept his eye on what is good, true and beautiful.  I loved being in the presence of this beautiful soul! Although in recent years we did not spend much time together, I'm grateful for the memories which keep his calm and loving presence alive in my heart.

" To live in this world you must be able to do three things:

To love what is mortal,

To hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it,

And, when the time comes to let it go,

To let it go "

-Mary Oliver

Rest in peace, dear Bryan.
