Brian's obituary

Brian Johnson, a beloved son, brother, cousin, and friend has gone to be with his Lord and Savior and is dancing on streets of gold. Brian was born on July 21, 1973, and passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023.

Brian is survived by his loving family; his father, Gary Johnson, his mother, Barbara Johnson, his sister, Sherrie Johnson. He also leaves behind his Aunt, Carolyn Connor, Uncle, Alan Connor, and cousins Laurie Garcia, Craig Connor, and Jeff Connor. Brian was predeceased by his Grandmother, Clotilda Johnson, Grandfather, Dudley Johnson, Aunt Barbara H. Johnson, Uncle Ronald Johnson, and cousins David and Susan Johnson.

He was a fun-loving boy who enjoyed outdoor sports like biking and riding his skateboard. In 1986, his partner in crime, Sherrie, joined the family as his sibling. In 1991, he graduated high school, then in 1998 he graduated college with a B.S. in Journalism. Professionally, Brian had a successful journalism career, beginning with the Progress Bulletin in 1998, moving to the Press Enterprise in 2003, and finally PatientPop in 2018. In 1998, Brian moved to Lake Arrowhead, a place he enjoyed living in for 25 years.

He was a born-again Christian, an attendee of Lighthouse Baptist Church, and drew comfort and strength from his faith. Brian was known by his family for his love of steak, Thanksgiving turkey, jazz music, the color blue, and literature including the Bible (his favorite book) and various books of poetry. His favorite movies were "Bringing Up Baby" and "It's a Wonderful Life". He admired the works of artists like Monet, Cezanne, and Vincent van Gogh. Brian was a loyal supporter of the USC Trojans and enjoyed playing games like Pit and Pictionary.

Spending time with family was one of Brian's favorite things to do. He also enjoyed taking regular walks, especially in his "little slice of heaven", Lake Arrowhead. He was incredibly encouraging, creative, uplifting, and humorous.

Brian's life was a testament to trust and faith in God. He profoundly believed in trusting the Lord through all the ups and downs of life. His faith and positivity have left an indelible legacy on those who knew him best.

Brian will be greatly missed. His character, spirit, and legacy will remain a beacon of strength for everyone who was fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.
