Mr. Brent Williamson, age 35, of Vidalia, passed away from a sudden illness on September 7, 2022. He was born and raised in Vidalia, where he attended Vidalia City Schools and graduated from Paul Anderson Youth Home in 2006. In his early years, he worked in construction with his late stepfather, Lindy McDonald. He held the record for the fastest solo flight in the flight school in Eastman, Georgia. He comes from a very large blended family of siblings who were the most important parts of shaping him into the man he was. He met his wife, Emmy, and together they started a family. Brent was a devoted husband and loving father who doted on his children. His wife and children were everything to him, and there was no limit to what he would do for their happiness. Brent loved working with his hands and was a very talented artist. He began his own business in residential remodeling, doing what he truly enjoyed. Brent mentored and shared his knowledge with every person who worked with him, with some even carrying on to start their own business. He was an advocate for the underdogs in this world, and there was never an outcast or stranger in his eyes. He gave the warmest hugs to the hurting and always tried to uplift people. His laughter, goofiness, and giant heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Lindy McDonald; maternal grandfather, Jimmy Fields; and paternal grandparents, Ben and Katherine Williamson.

His family includes his wife, Emmy Williamson; three children, Ayden Tran, Carter Williamson, and Ellie Williamson, all of Vidalia; mother, Eve McDonald of Wheeler County; father, Donald Williamson and wife Shawna of Kibbee Community; maternal grandmother, Jeanette Fields of Vidalia; five siblings, Amanda Williamson and husband Monty of Kibbee, Alisa Papp and husband Joe of Guyton, Blake McDonald of Augusta, Ashley Carney and husband Eric of Vidalia and Bryson McDonald and Kristi of Lyons; and several aunts, uncles and nieces.

The funeral service will be Monday morning, September 12th, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Jordan Thigpen officiating. Burial will follow at Williamson Cemetery near Kibbee.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
